Meet Our Staff
Our Pastor
Daniel Rickman has been pastor at the FMC since June of 2024. He and his wife, Catherine, have been married since May of 2021. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, OK, got an undergraduate degree at Hendrix College in Conway, AR, earned a Master's degree from Mizzou in German Studies, and graduated with his Master's of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2020. He is an ordained elder of the Global Methodist Church.
Our Administrative Assistant
Kayla has been a valued member of the First Methodist Church staff joining the church office in November 2023. With previous experience as an administrative assistant in a church office, she brings a strong background in organization, communication, and serving others.
Our Children's Minister
Debbie Harrington has dedicated 12 years of service to the First Methodist Church. Before her work at the church, she had a career in education, working as an elementary school teacher and administrator. She has been married to Frank Harrington for 45 years and is a proud grandmother to twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Youth Pastor
Kirt Province serves as the Youth Pastor at First Methodist Church, dedicated to guiding teenagers through their faith journeys and creating a welcoming, supportive community for high school and middle school students.
Traditional Music Director
Aaron serves as the Director of Traditional Music at First Methodist Church. Through his love of music and worship, Aaron helps create meaningful and uplifting worship experiences for our congregation each week. His passion for music, faith, and serving others makes him a valued part of the First Methodist Church family.
Contemporary Music Director
Katelyn serves as the Director of Contemporary Music at First Methodist Church, where she helps bring a fresh and uplifting sound to our worship services. Through her leadership of the praise band and her love of contemporary worship music, Katelyn introduces newer praise and worship songs that help our congregation connect with God in meaningful and inspiring ways. Her passion for music and worship is a wonderful addition to the life of our church.
Organist
Karen Stephenson has served as organist of First Methodist Church for close to 35 years. Originally from Mutual, she graduated NWOSU with degrees in Business Education and Vocal Music. Upon moving back to Woodward area Karen spent 41 years in Banking and Finance. She has actively served in many areas of the church teaching children's Sunday School, children and youth choirs along with being a member of the Choir on Fire, Agape Ringers, Praise Band, Ark Class and Women's Tuesday Morning Bible Study. Karen is a proud mother of 2 children and 3 grandchildren.
Nursery Coordinator
Amber Simpson is part of the nursery ministry team at First Methodist Church, providing a warm, safe, and engaging environment for the church's youngest members.
Co-Nursery Director
Shawna Grivich is also part of the nursery ministry team at First Methodist Church. She brings energy, care, and attention to every child who enters the room.
Free Spirit Co-Director
Shasta Douglas, co-director and teacher at Free Spirit Preschool for 13 years. I love serving in this ministry, because watching children grow in friendship and God's love is a true blessing. I have been happily married since 2005 to Dwayne. We have one son McKinley and a plethora of bonus children that God has brought through our home. My favorite scripture is Romans 8;26-27.
